I think most of us have been "there" at some point. "Where?" you ask. "There" is that place you are when you are camping out in the bush and don't have a place to do your business. This can lead to all kinds of uncomfortable yet hilarious situations. Since none of us want to fall over, or "hit" ourselves when doing our business, we should look into a portable toilet for camping.

You have a couple of options when it comes to your ultimate portable toilet for camping. You could look around retail camping stores, or search online and purchase one, lets call that "option a". Or you pull out your tools, and build a toilet for the ages. I present to you:

The Ultimate Portable Toilet for Camping

This is "Option b". Ok, so I realize that you have probably sat on a can that is more appealing then that, but when you are out camping its like a Ferrari. At the very least you are going to have a really funny story or set of pictures to share with your friends and family. (The pictures are of you attempting to make the toilet! Get your mind out of the gutter!)

Step one: Remove your toilet seat from your toilet, or bring an old one. You probably will not want to take it off of your actual toilet because there is a good chance you are going to ruin it.

Step two: Bring screws, a saw, a drill, nails, a shovel, some 2 x 4's and throw some duct tape in there just in case. (Your camping, duct tape better already be packed.)

Step three: When you are at your make-shift campsite, find a place that is well hidden. Get your shovel and dig a hole.

Step four: Measure out your toilet seat and cut your 2 x 4's into into pieces so you can stack them, building them into a box. Nail or screw them together.

Step five: Place the toilet seat on top of the box, drill into place. Use duct tape, nails, screws, whatever you need to secure the toilet seat in place.

Step six: Go to the bathroom! (Make sure you have placed the box over the hole first.)

*warning* Make sure that you are careful not to tip over the toilet when wiping! This is not a fun experience…

Now you know how to build the ultimate portable toilet for camping!
